Short version: we count pages, not people. Last updated 26 August 2026.
Our server records one line per page served: the path, the country, the referring domain, and whether the device is a phone. No IP address is stored, no cookie is set, nothing is written to your browser, and nothing identifies you.
We use it for one thing: knowing how many people who watched a video actually came here to check the sources. That number decides whether this project continues.
Visitors from other countries also load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and measures things our own counter cannot — how far you scroll, how long you stay, and whether you click through to an original source. It loads only after the page has finished rendering, so it never slows anything down. Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses; we have no way to verify that ourselves, and we would rather tell you who is making the claim than pass it off as our own.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, this script is never sent to you. Not blocked after the fact — never served, decided at the edge before the page leaves our server. That is also why we have no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Every source link points to its original publisher. Once you click, you are on their site under their rules — we have no visibility into what happens there, beyond the fact that a click left our page.
